The Plot
In a reimagining of the traditional fairy tale, a miller boasts to the Queen's official, Lady Braggart, about the ability of his daughter, Emma, to spin hay and straw into gold. Upon hearing the extraordinary claim, the Queen summons both, and commands Emma either to prove her Father's truthfulness, or be locked in the castle dungeon forever! Supported by Prince Michael, and with the help of a cunning imp, Emma makes good on the miller's boasts by promising the imp her first born child. After marrying the Prince, Emma gives birth to the son she will be forced to give away, unless she discovers the imp's name...Rumpelstiltskin!
